In a nutshell

The client

London-based electric vehicle company FuroSystems is a team of 'freedom engineers' using cutting-edge technology to create vehicles that liberate their customers.

Inspired by aerospace and automotive developments, this ambitious company aspires to offer ultimate lightweight, speed, comfort and elegance. In an interview with FuroSystems Founder and CEO Eliott Wertheimer, we explored the challenges of customer experience and how embedded insurance strengthens its mission and accelerates growth.

Hello Elliot. Thanks for meeting with us! Could you quickly introduce FuroSystems?

Sure! At FuroSystems, we design, manufacture and distribute ultra-light, high-performance electric vehicles with a focus on functionality, price and aesthetics.

Our aim is to give people more freedom in their cities and to allow them to truly experience the benefits that electric vehicles can now bring compared to combustion-powered vehicles in terms of convenience and performance. We also address customers directly, which allows us to maintain and optimise excellent customer service as well as iterate our product designs very quickly based on customer feedback.

From product quality to ease of integration, Qover was the logical step in improving our offer to customers.

What challenges are you facing when it comes to meeting today's customer expectations?

The main challenge we've been facing is delivery times. We've received many requests, and due to the logistical difficulties linked to the crisis and rapid growth, we've gone from a delivery time of 2 to 5 days to a month or two for new orders. Most companies in the sector have faced the same problem. Solving this situation has been one of our main objectives for 2021 and we'tr pleased to see that we've been able to achieve this.

What's the history of your relationship with Qover?

We had been wanting to offer insurance to our customers for some time. It had to be international, with comprehensive and affordable packages, while being fully integrated within our sales flow. In addition, there was a regulatory aspect that was obviously difficult and slow for us to deal with. I then heard about Qover and contacted them, only to find out that they offered a solution to all the obstacles I just mentioned. From product quality to ease of integration, Qover was the logical step to improve our offer to customers.

The insurance and assistance packages offer our riders peace of mind, are very easy to understand and definitely support us in our aim to enhance people's freedom.

How is Qover's embedded bike insurance solution meeting these new challenges? What impact do you think insurance has on FuroSystems’ customer experience?

As a new company we're eager to grow and keep pushing our products out there while maintaining a strong relationship with our customers based on trust and the love of our products. Qover’s insurance and assistance packages offer our riders peace of mind, are very easy to understand and purchase and definitely support us in our aim to enhance people's freedom. As such, Qover reinforces us in our mission and further accelerates our growth while boosting the functionality and practicality of our offers, from purchase to use.

Embedded insurance at checkout upgrades FuroSystems' offering.

What advice would you give to bike businesses looking to offer insurance?

My advice would be to find a partner who will help you manage the regulatory aspect while allowing seamless integration with your existing platforms, and also provide you with strong help and support in understanding the related issues. This is what Qover has done for us.

'It was a pleasure working with Qover. We love technology and bikes, but we have no insurance experience. It’s a complex matter, especially if you want to scale the product in different countries. Qover helped us define the best product and bring it to our customers.'
